Meet LPR Connect: License Plate Recognition Built on the Identity Layer

A guest’s visit does not start at the front door. It starts in the parking lot. By the time someone reaches the floor, your team has already missed the first, best chance to know who just arrived. LPR Connect, eConnect’s license plate recognition, closes that gap: it reads plates at the entrance and links every vehicle to a face, so an arrival is a known identity long before it becomes a person standing in front of a camera.

LPR Connect is the product formerly known as Plate Connect. The name is new; the job it does is bigger. Here is how it works in 2026.

What LPR Connect Does

LPR Connect uses the cameras at your entrances, exits, and garages to capture every license plate that comes onto the property, along with the date, time, and lane. Optical character recognition turns each plate into a searchable record, and eConnect checks it against your lists in real time: VIPs you want greeted, vehicles tied to banned or self-excluded patrons, and plates flagged by law enforcement.

When a match fires, the right people know immediately. A host learns that a top player just pulled in. Surveillance learns that a banned vehicle is back on the property. Nobody waits for the guest to walk through the door and hope that someone recognizes them.

Reads the Plate, Knows the Face

Plenty of systems read plates. What sets LPR Connect apart is what happens next: the plate is tied to a face. Because LPR Connect runs on the same identity layer as the rest of the eConnect platform, a vehicle at the gate and a face on the floor resolve to the same person. That is the difference between a plate number and a complete arrival picture: who is here, what they drive, and everything the platform already knows about them.

It also means investigations move faster. Start with a plate and reach the face, the visit history, and the known associates. Start with a face and reach the vehicle. One search, not three separate systems that do not talk to each other.

Find the Plates an Exact Search Misses

Plates get misread, obscured, or deliberately altered. LPR Connect does not stop at exact matches: search a plate and it surfaces the similar plates that a character-for-character search would skip, so a single transposed digit does not hide a vehicle you are looking for.

Runs on What You Already Have

LPR Connect works with the cameras and systems most properties already run, and where there is no coverage yet, eConnect can start you with the right hardware at the lanes that matter. Either way, it is one more layer on the identity platform you already use for facial recognition, POS, and TITO, not another silo to manage.

See It on Your Own Entrance

The fastest way to understand LPR Connect is to watch it read your own lanes and tie a plate to a face in real time. Request a demo and we will show it running on a working deployment. Most demos take 30 minutes. You can also read more about eConnect license plate recognition and the rest of the product line.
