Access Control

Synergis access control unified with video under one identity

For properties running Genetec on both video and access control, eConnect closes the loop so the same identity record covers the camera that saw the person and the reader that let them through.

Overview

How the integration works

Synergis cardholder and door event data flow into eConnect alongside Security Center video. Because both sides originate in the Genetec platform, the correlation can stay tightly aligned around one timeline.

Alerts can return to the operator workflow when a badge and face mismatch, a forced door has a recognized subject present, or a watchlist hit occurs at a restricted reader.

Key capabilities

What the integration delivers

Synergis door event correlation

Door events and camera frames can share one timeline so the badge and the face are compared in context.

Unified operator alerts

Access anomalies can return to the same operator workflow used for video review.

Single identity across video and doors

One subject record can span Security Center cameras and Synergis readers.

Forced door identification

A forced or held open door can be paired with the recognized person standing at it.

Use cases

Where teams put it to work

Each page follows the same structure so operators can compare partners quickly: overview, workflow, capabilities, use cases, visuals, and a clear next step.

Restricted area breach

A forced door on a secure corridor can raise an alert naming the recognized person present.

Credential sharing audit

Badge reads that disagree with the recognized face can be reviewed across the estate in one query.

Visitor escort compliance

A visitor recognized without the expected escort in a restricted corridor can trigger an alert.

Architecture

How the data moves

eConnect reads from the partner platform, resolves identity, and returns intelligence. Nothing on the property has to be replaced to support that workflow.

Operator value

What changes for the team

The outcome should be a tighter response path, a cleaner investigative record, and better continuity between identity, video, and operations.

One platform, one investigation

Video and access questions can be answered from the same record instead of being reconciled later.

Badge sharing is easier to surface

The credential stops being an anonymous token once the face has to agree with it.

One record, one truth

Identity, video, and operational data live in the same investigation record, so compliance requests and legal holds are answered from one place.

Investigations in minutes, not days

A single photo resolves to a timeline, the associated video, and the linked events. Reviewers stop scrubbing footage and start reviewing evidence.
